Sonya Renee Taylor is a legend and trailblazer in the realm of performance poetry. Her fifteen year career as a performance poet and artist began with her participation in poetry slams. Over those years Sonya has won the National Individual Poetry Slam Championship, the Four Continents International Slam Championship and has appeared on every finals stage competition she has competed in since her start in 2003. Today, Sonya's work as a performance poet, storyteller, actress, and mc/ host continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
